That is my favorite line that holds true for everyone on this show who gets fighting attention. From where I stopped there was only a handful of characters who didn't eventually disappoint me, and thats only because they never showed us what they had like Urahara and that cat girl. Anyone else who fought and lost began a never ending saga that followed the formula of losing-get inspired by Ichigo-get a lot stronger-lose again. Wash, rinse, repeat.
